You can configure your network to provision Polycom telephony devices directly out of the box to work with NocTel.
In order to do this, add a DHCP Option 160 to your DHCP Server with the content "http://noctel.com/provision/polycom/"
Upon initial boot up of the device, it will configure the phone's bootloader with the following settings:
The Polycom device will then reboot and provision as if it was configured manually.
Juniper EX-series 13.0 and below using DHCP:
system {
services {
pool 10.0.0.0/24 {
address-range low 10.0.0.100 high 10.0.0.254; name-server { 10.0.0.1; 10.0.0.2; } router { 10.0.0.1; } option 160 string http://noctel.com/; }
}
}
Juniper SRX above 12.0 using JDHCP:
system { services { dhcp-local-server { group JDHCP { interface vlan.1; } } } } access { address-assignment { pool JDHCPVR-POOL { family inet { network 10.0.0.0/24; range JDHCPVR-RANGE { low 10.0.0.100; high 10.0.0.254; } dhcp-attributes {
router {
10.0.0.1;
} option 160 string http://noctel.com/; } } } } }
